Narrow home just 4 metres wide on sale for £700,000 – but offers amazing views

An extremely narrow home, which measures in at just four metres wide, has gone on the market in St Ives, Cornwall, for an eye-watering £700,000.

But, what the home lacks in width, it fully makes up for in stunning views, with huge glass windows looking directly out onto the sea.

The unusual home is located just 150 yards from Porthmeor beach and just 250 yards from the town centre while offering up a luxurious outdoor roof terrace overlooking the property's sunken courtyard garden.

Despite the home being incredibly narrow, it is still surprisingly spacious, boasting two bedrooms and two bathrooms, measuring 22 metres in length.

The property doesn't look quite as impressive from the front

On the lower floor, there is an open plan kitchen/diner, two en-suite bedrooms and the sunken courtyard.

The upper floors are home to the living room and the terrace, with more amazing sea views of back across the town to Carbis Bay beach and Porth Kidney Sands in the distance.

The home is a short walk to St Ives town centre and nearby beaches and comes with two parking spaces to make it easy to explore the area.

    Inside is surprisingly spacious

Lillicrap Chilcott, which has listed the property, describes it as "a truly sensational and unique grand design."

The listing reads: "A perfect bolthole, holiday letting opportunity or main home approximately 150 yards from Porthmeor beach and 250 yards from the harbourside and town centre."

According to Rightmove, the average house price in St Ives over the last year is £451,589, meaning this property is on the more expensive side – but with those views and the current state of the market, it's unlikely to stay on the market for long.
