Detectives have launched a murder investigation after a 19-year-old man was shot dead in broad daylight in north London.
The Met Police say a teen was found with a gunshot wound to his head and rushed to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Emergency services were called to Hornsey Rise Gardens in Islington at 4.24pm on Tuesday after police received reports of gunshots in the area.
An investigation has been launched by detectives from the Met's Specialist Crime Command, who are appealing for information from the public.
A police spokesman said a 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of being in possession of an offensive weapon.
He is in custody at a north London police station, the force added.
