Protesters Stage Public Action Against COVID-19 Measures in Berlin – Video

Germany was forced to introduce lockdown measures on 17 March to battle the spread of the coronavirus in the country. However, in recent days the nation moved to relax certain restrictions reopening playgrounds, churches, and cultural institutions.

Sputnik is livestreaming from Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz in Berlin where protesters are gathering to voice their discontent with the coronavirus measures introduced in the country.

Similar public actions under the banner “Not without us” have been held in Germany for six weeks but could only gather up to 20 participants due to coronavirus-related restrictions.

Germany has reported 159,119 coronavirus cases and 6,288 deaths as of 11:00 a.m. CEST, according to data provided by the World Health Organisation.
